I cant even begin to say thank you enough for helping me out in my time of need. With my husband fighting trying get his disability and me being the only income and large unexpected expense such as the heat pump really put me in a bad spot! I do not even have $10 in my bank account currently and I have so many bills past due but the electric & mortgage is what stressed me out the most! When things fall apart seems like it happens all at once. I appreciate this from the bottom of my heart! I Work with COVID Patients in the ICU but Won't Be Able to Work if We Lose Our Home!
My Story:
I'm married, and my husband and I have one wonderful son together. He's our entire world, and he's the reason I wake up and go to work every single day. I work in the ICU as a care technician, and I have continued to be on the front lines of this pandemic every step of the way. I put myself at risk to save others live every single day, and I truly wouldn't want to be doing anything else. In fact, I actually contracted Covid-19 back in August and nearly lost my life to it, but I believe that God spared me so that I could continue to help others where I'm needed most.
We're suffering a financial hardship that is partly the result of recent ice storms we've had that knocked out our central heating and air. Those ice storms were difficult to get through, and I was actually stranded at the hospital for three days while my family was at home with no electricity. It was hard to get through that emotionally, but it really put us in a bad position financially too because we had to pay to get our heating and air restored. We're a low income family, and I'm the only one working because my husband has a number of health issues that he's struggling with. That being said, expenses like this always make it difficult to get by, but with my husband's health issues keeping him out of work, it's been impossible. I'm worried about keeping up with our electric bill and our mortgage primarily, so I'm humbly asking for help with both of those bills please.
Having both of these bills taken care of would be huge for us, and we'll be able to comfortably stay in our home until my husband can begin to receive disability. I've always done my best to try to keep my family on track by working long hours or having yard sales to bring in extra cash, but it hasn't been enough this time, and we desperately need help. We would be incredibly thankful and touched to receive help with keeping our home and power on, and I promise to continue to work hard as a nurse to pay it forward every day.
