I Was Working Two Jobs Before COVID, but Now I'm Struggling to Keep My Home After Losing One!

My Story:

After getting divorced several years ago, I've been on my own and have been doing my best to make my way in the world. I was raised to be strong and independent, so I took up two jobs as a medical assistant and as a home health aide to make ends meet for myself. I was able to support myself with those two jobs for several years on my own.

That really changed when Covid-19 hit because I lost my full-time position as a medical assistant and am only down to working part-time now. My full-time position was my main source of income, so without it, I've really struggled to get by. I was able to file for unemployment, but those benefits abruptly stopped coming in at the beginning of the year. I was unprepared for those payments to stop coming in, and as a result, I fell very far behind on my rent. I'm trying my best to make up the balance that I owe, but with just my part-time income, it's been almost impossible to do. I'm going to be evicted soon if I can't catch up on my balance, so I'm humbly asking for help with my rent.

I haven't stopped searching for full-time employment since I lost my job as a medical assistant, but I haven't found any luck securing a new position. I'm also doing my best to get my unemployment reinstated, and I have an appeal in motion to do that. The process has been painfully slow though, and I don't have faith that those benefits will arrive in time to save my home. That's why I'm asking for this generous assistance now. Without it, I'm afraid I could lose my home and everything I've worked so hard to build for myself after my divorce. I would be very grateful to get this help, and I will pay it forward one way or another. Thank you all so much for your kindness and compassion in helping me keep my home.
