We're Down to One Income, & We Need Help Keeping Our Lights On Please!
My Story:
My husband and I have been married for 6 months no, and we have a 1-year-old daughter together. We're very family oriented and spend most of our free time together with our daughter. Prior to Covid-19, my husband was working for a university but was laid-off shortly after the pandemic began. I work full-time as a home health aide, and my husband has been staying at home with our young daughter until he can find work again.
I've been doing my best to take care of our bills on my own, but I just don't make enough to cover everything. We've already burned through our savings because my husband is going on almost a year unemployed now, and we're in a really bad situation where we have to pick and choose what bills to pay. We used to have a goal in mind of buying our own home, but since our credit has dipped due to the pandemic, it looks unlikely that we'll ever be able to do that any time soon. Even more important than our credit though, I'm really worried about having our power shut off, and I'm also worried about keeping our car on the road so I can go to and from work.
I'm asking for help with our car insurance and electric bill because both are extremely vital to our household. I'm the only one with any income, so if I lose my job, then we'll lose everything. The same goes for our electric bill as well. It's been hard for us, but my husband is staying motivated through it all and is continuing to work hard to find employment again. We're doing our best to stay positive, and this help would be a huge boost to us.
