We're Close to Losing Our Water After Being Out of Work Due to COVID. Please Help!
My Story:
I'm a married mother of three handsome young men. My three sons are 13,12, and 11 years old. My oldest son is on the Autism Spectrum and loves computers; my 12-year-old loves basketball and baking, and my youngest son loves golf, basketball, and swimming. My husband and I love our children more than anything, and we work incredibly hard to provide for them no matter what. I currently work as an ABA Therapist, working primarily with children ages 2-12 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. My husband was working as a chef before the pandemic but was laid-off back in March and has yet to find work again.
In addition to my husband being laid-off, I have also lost a lot of work to the pandemic because we typically work as in-home care providers but can't do so because of the pandemic. As a result, we've lost a ton of income since March and are really far behind on our water bill. My husband's unemployment has also been on hold for months now, and we can't figure out why. We're incredibly close to losing our service, and I'm scared that we'll be without water for a while if that happens.
Without water, I am not sure how we would be able to survive or take care of our children by providing them with what they need. Having our water bill current would be a huge relief to us and would allow us to live comfortably with access to running water. This help would also do a lot to show my family that there are good people in this world who still care about others, and it would show my boys that no matter what, you can always make a difference in someone else's life. Thank you for making a difference in ours, and we promise to do the same going forward.
