I've Faced Homelessness Before & I Know That I Will Again If I Can't Get My Car Back on the Road!

My Story:

I'm a single woman living alone in California. Since 2016, I've struggled greatly with homelessness and depression. I was laid-off and slept in my car for two months before eventually finding my way to a women's shelter. It took me 10 months to get all the way back on my feet, and in that time, I learned a lot about self-improvement and dealing with hardship. I worked incredibly hard to find work again, and I eventually found a contracting company to work for. I worked there for three years until last year when I was laid-off due to Covid-19.

I've been through the cycle of poverty before, and I know how difficult it is to escape once you're trapped in it. I'm scared now because I'm on the brink of falling into that same cycle once again if I lose my home this time around. I'm struggling day in and ay out to find work again, but it's been incredibly difficult. My search has been made even harder by the repairs that I've had to have done on my vehicle, and on top of that I haven't been able to drive it because I can't afford the insurance right now. My biggest concern is being able to pay my rent, but I won't be able to do that unless I can drive my car, so I'm humbly asking for help with my car insurance.

It's difficult to get to and from job interviews and to reassure employers that I can make it to work when I don't have a vehicle to drive. I'm n the verge of getting back to work and getting this help would push me in the right direction and would get me clear of danger. I know what it means to be homeless and to lose everything you've worked hard for, and I don't know if I could make it through that again. That's why I'm reaching out for help now, and that's why I would be incredibly grateful to receive this assistance. That being said, I'd like to thank everyone who helps me in advance for your compassion and understanding during these difficult times.
