I've Been Furloughed for Almost a Year Now & Need Help Keeping My Home Please!

My Story:

I'm a 43-year-old single black man, and I live on my own in South Carolina. I've lived here all my life, and I don't really see myself ever wanting to leave. My biggest passions in life are football, basketball, and music, so I spend most of my free time watching, listening, and playing those! I was working at the local hospital for a few years as a utility technician before being furloughed due to the pandemic.

That furlough began almost a year ago now, and I'm beginning to think that they'll never hire me back at this point. I've been trying to find other work in my field but haven't had any luck yet because no one is really hiring right now. I'm doing my best to look for extra work as well, but I haven't had much luck there either. I've fallen behind on almost all of my bills as a result of being out of work for so long. I'm on the verge of being evicted, and I really need help with my rent if I'm going to keep a roof over my head.

I'm humbly asking for help with my rent because if I lose my home, I'm afraid I won't really have anywhere else to go other than to a shelter or to the streets. I'm a hard worker, and I know I can get back on my feet if I just have a little more time to keep searching for work. I would be extremely grateful for this help, and I promise to never forget it. Thank you all in advance for your generous support and for just taking the time to consider me.
