I Grew Up Homeless, & I Need Help Saving My Children from that Life After Losing Work to COVID!
My Story:
I'm a single mother of two wonderful children. My oldest is 12 years old, and he is very creative and loves basketball. My youngest is 5 years old and is full of energy, loves gymnastics, and loves dancing. We also have a family dog that they both love, and they all love to be around each other constantly. I'm truly blessed to have the honor of being their mother, and I've always done my best to make sure I don't let them down.
Currently, I'm only receiving unemployment due to being laid-off by the pandemic. Before the pandemic began, I was working for logistics company and was making a good living doing so. However, I was laid-off in July due to cutbacks they had to make because of the loss of business from Covid-19. Now, we're living check to check, and I'm stuck hoping and praying that we can get through each new month. Recently, I fell behind on our rent and am worried about not being able to catch up in time to avoid being evicted. We're only a month behind, but that hasn't stopped our landlord from already filing proceedings against us. That's why I'm asking for help with our rent and with keeping my children's home.
Growing up, I was in and out of homeless shelters. I know what it's like to be homeless, and I can't allow my kids to go through what I went through. Getting this help with our rent would save them from that situation, and it would get us completely caught up. I'm close to securing work again, but we just need to buy a little more time before that happens. God bless anyone who helps us and thank you for your kindness and compassion in advance.
