I Took a Pay Cut to Return to Work & Need Help Catching Up on a Power Bill Please!
My Story:
I'm a single mother with a son who just turned 18 years old last November. He's finishing up his senior year of high school right now, and I'm really proud of the young man that he's becoming. I've always done my best to fight for him, and I've tried hard to make sure that we live in a good school district because I want to give him the best chance I can at going to a good college.
I'm used to supporting both of us on just my income, and we've always lived paycheck to paycheck. When the pandemic began and affected the company that I work for, I was furloughed, and when I came back, my pay was cut by almost 20%. After taking that big of a pay cut and after being out of work, we're having a hard time keeping up with all of our bills. We're feeling completely overwhelmed by our bills and really need help if we're going to make it through this situation. I'm humbly asking for help with our electric bill because we need to keep our power on while my son finishes school.
Getting help with this bill would be huge for us because it would free up enough of our income to get us current on everything again. However, more than anything, I don't want my son to face an interruption in his education and I don't want him to see me fail as a provider for him because that would truly just break my heart. Thank you all in advance for your kindness and generosity.
