After My Daughter's Car Accident & After Losing Work to COVID, We Need Help Keeping Our Home Please!
My Story:
I'm a single mother with three daughters at home. My family means everything to me, and I've always done whatever I could to provide for my daughters no matter what. Prior to the pandemic, I was working for a local school and was able to make enough to pay the bills, but not too much more than that. So, when the schools closed and I was laid-off, it really hurt my ability to provide for my family.
Our situation got even worse when one of my daughters was in a really horrible car accident in September. I had found another job by that time, but I had to quit to stay home to take care of my daughter after her accident. The bills from that and the loss of income from losing two jobs in the past year has made it impossible to keep up with all of our bills. I've done the best that I can on the unemployment that we've been getting, but after food and other expenses, it's only enough to cover about 80% of our rent. For the past few months, I've been steadily getting further and further behind and that's become unmanageable. I'm scared that any day now there will be a police officer at our door telling us we have to vacate our home immediately. I'm humbly asking for help to get us caught up on our rent while I continue to care for my daughter while she recovers from her accident.
I desperately want to get back to work to provide for my children, but my daughter's condition is still too unstable for me to leave her alone all day. Still, I feel stuck because while I'm caring for my daughter at home, I'm unable to work to provide for my family. We're between a rock and a hard place and really need a way out. This help would give us that way out, and we couldn't be more grateful for that. Your generosity would allow me to continue to care for my daughter while not having to worry about losing our home as a result. That type of generosity is something I could never truly repay, but no matter what I'll try my best to carry that type of kindness with me everywhere I go.
