I'm an Expecting Mother, & After Losing Hours to COVID, I'll Lose My Home THIS WEEK!
My Story:
I'm a single, expecting mother. I'm excited to give birth to my first child, but I'm also really worried about the situation we'll find ourselves in around that time. I've had my hours reduced from full-time to part-time at work, and that's caused me to struggle significantly. It's really difficult to make ends meet on part-time hours, and I was planning on putting money away for when I have to take maternity leave; however, I haven't been able to do that because of my hours being reduced.
Right now, all of my income is going towards my rent and other bills, and I'm worried I won't have anything put away for when my child arrives. However, I'm also worried because I'm actually behind on my rent as well. I'm scared that if I can't catch up before I go on maternity leave, then I'll be an expecting mother on the streets. The prospect of that is truly terrifying, so I'm asking for help with getting caught up on my rent.
This would be a miracle for me and my child, and it would give us the foundation that we need going forward. I'll be able to get caught up on my rent and be able to put away even just a little money to help with my maternity leave. After my leave is up, I'll return to working full-time hopefully and will be able to afford all of our bills plus any daycare fees I need for my child. Thank you all for taking the time to consider my story and thank you for your generosity and compassion during this difficult time.
