My Husband Was Laid-off After Working Hard for 15 Years. We Need Help with a Water Bill
My Story:
I'm a stay-at-home mom to three wonderful children. My two boys are 14 and 8 years old, and they're amazing children who I'm incredibly proud of. One of them suffers from chronic lung disease and heart issues, and the other one is autistic and has autoimmune hepatitis and juvenile arthritis as well. Caring for them can be difficult, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world because they're truly amazing children. Our daughter is 5 years old and is a total sweetheart who loves her older brothers so much. We all enjoy spending time together outdoors fishing, swimming, and walking. My husband has worked hard at his job for 15 years in order to provide for us.
However, when the pandemic began, he was laid-off from his job of 15 years. With both of us out of work, it's been difficult to get by. We've managed to keep our heads above water thanks to the savings we've built up over the years. However, we're down to picking and choosing what bills we can and can't pay, so our water bill is three months behind. We're protected from shut offs right now, but that won't be the case for much longer, and we don't have anyway of catching up in time to avoid that.
This would do so much to help us get current again. I'm hoping that with things reopening again, my husband will be able to get back to work soon and will start bringing in enough for us to get by again. I'm doing my best to hide our financial situation from our children, but it's really hard lately. I don't want them to know that we're struggling, so this help would be huge for their sake as well. Thank you all for taking the time to understand our story and for your generous help in advance.
