I'm Doing My Best to Keep Our Home, but After Losing hours to COVID, I Need Help Please!
My Story:
I'm a single mom with two children at home. My son is 3 years old and is disabled after being diagnosed with FOXG1 syndrome which is a developmental disorder. He doesn't have control over his own motor skills and can't talk. I pray for him every single day and hope that he can reach some kind of milestone soon. I also have a 4-month-old girl who is an absolute blessing. I also have another 9-year-old daughter who lives with me on the weekends. I've struggled a lot in the past, specifically with drugs, so I lost custody of her. I've put my life back together through my faith in God and thanks to my son, and I've been clean for almost five years now.
We live in a modest house, and I've been able to make ends meet by working in retail full-time for the past few years now. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has really hurt our business a lot, so my hours have been reduced. Now, I'm struggling to pay my mortgage and need help if we're going to avoid foreclosure.
I'm asking for this help for the sake of my children who are my entire world. I've overcome so many struggles in my life for their sake, and I have always done my best to fight hard for them. Right now though, I know that I need help if I'm going to be able to keep fighting for them. With this help, we'll be able to keep our home and avoid being foreclosed on. This would effectively save our lives, and it would mean more to us than I could ever put into words. On behalf of my children, thank you all for taking the time to consider our story and for your understanding and compassion.
