Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I am so happy my utilities will get to stay on and this will give me some relief to make sure my mortgage and everything else does not fall further behind! I have been able to pick up a few extra shifts from a third job I started a few weeks ago so do not think your giving is going to waste! I Just Went Through a Divorce. I'm on My Own & Need Help Turning My Power Back On!
My Story:
My husband and I divorced last summer. I stuck with him through two stents in drug rehab, and he went back to it again. I decided that was enough and kicked him out. I'm trying to rebuild after filing for bankruptcy now after his drug use ruined us effectively. I'm working hard to do that, and in fact, I've been working two jobs to rebuild.
I work full-time as a secretary for the city council, but my salary is too small to overcome all of my expenses, so I had a second job too. However, I lost my second job due to the pandemic and haven't been able to pick up another one since. I don't qualify for government assistance despite having lost my second income, so I'm basically on my own there. I'm left with a ton of expenses that I could barely afford while working two jobs, and now that I only have one, it's impossible. My power and water were shut-off recently, and I desperately need help getting them restored again.
I'm asking for help with my electricity bill because that would be the relief and step forward that I need to get current with all my bills again. I'll be able to get my power turned back on again, and that'll give me enough relief to also have my water turned back on. This would get me caught up on everything, and I would be incredibly relieved to be able to do that. I couldn't be more thankful to get some help on this journey towards rebuilding my life. Thank you all so much for your generosity and kindness.
