Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

The kindness and selflessness you all have shown my family and I mean more than I can put into words. This money is more than making sure we have lights on, a car to drive and a roof over our head, its lowering the stress level so we can enjoy family time again and reminding us that there are kind and generous people like yourselves in the world. We are so grateful. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

After My Fiance Had to Isolate for Two Weeks with No Pay, We Need Help Keeping Our Car Please!

My Story:

My fiance, Ken and I have been together since 2006. We have one son together who is 10 years old, Kameron. He's a big-hearted kid who is wise beyond his years. It has been tough for him to adjust to virtual schooling, but we have two dogs, who are like siblings to him, to keep him company during the day. My fiance has worked for the same plant for 18 years now and has never missed a day of work. I usually do accounting work; however, I was laid-off from my position when the pandemic began, leading to some financial hardship for us. Since being laid-off, I've been staying home with our son to be his learning coach for virtual school.

We've been living paycheck to paycheck for quite some time, so losing any work makes it difficult to get by. Around the time I was laid-off, Ken's hours were cut to barely about 20 hours per week, which lasted for about two months. Then to make things even more difficult, our son tested positive for Covid-19 in December, forcing my husband to quarantine from work with no pay for two weeks. Somehow, we've been able to keep up with most of our basic expenses, but we've fallen behind on our car payment and need help before it's repossessed.

Our car is our only means of transportation, so if we lose it, my husband will miss work and lose his job. If he loses his job, we'll never recover. This would also free up enough money to go towards some of our other smaller expenses, so it would be a huge boost to our situation to receive this help. We've had a dark cloud hanging over us ever since this pandemic began, and this help would be a moment of brightness and clarity in otherwise dark times. For that, we'd all like to say thank you for taking the time to consider helping us.
