This person has left the following thank you note:
As I write this note my heart is filled with so many emotions. About a month ago I was to the point of depression. Knowing that as a sole provider to my family I was not able to meet even some of our basic needs. I was facing and uncharted territory in life. I looked in to my childrens eyes, specially my daughter, and saw how they trusted me with all they have. We have been through a lot this past year and I was loosing hope. One late night I found Modest Needs and decided to give it a try. I had very little to loose since I tried it all. But I prayed that someones heart would be touched to share a little. Today I shed tears. This are no longer tears of frustration and sadness but tears of joy. Finally I see that light at the end. As we are going thru so much in this world we can never loose hope that someone out there is still willing to lend a hand. I am so thankful for those who gave towards my cause. This means the world to me. My daughter not only has refrigerated medication but also requires therapy with electrical equipment several times a day. Today is a new chapter in our story. So on behalf of my family I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations. I pray that you are blessed and know that you have made a huge difference in someones life. Not only financially but also personally. Thank you!!!!!
We're Behind on Our Electric Bill & Daughter Has Cystic Fibrosis. For Her Sake, We Can't Lose Power
I'm a married father with five children. As you can imagine our household stays pretty busy, but I wouldn't trade that for the world! My oldest three love school and love doing movie nights with the whole family. My two youngest children suffer from some sever health problems unfortunately. My 10-year-old is an absolutely amazing, incredibly strong child who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and requires constant treatment and medical attention. My youngest, six years old, is deaf and requires special attention and care. I have the most wonderful wife in the world, and she's an incredibly dutiful and caring mother who stays home with our children to attend to our youngest twos' medical needs.
I worked for a safety certification company prior to the pandemic but was furloughed when it all began. It was full-time and paid me well enough to easily provide for my whole family, so when I was laid-off it was a devastating blow to us. Thankfully, I was able to secure a new government job in September, and despite the lower pay, I'm happy with my job. Being out of work for so long made it difficult to keep up with our bills, and we're behind on our extremely vital power bill.
This bill is incredibly crucial to my daughter's health because she needs constant access to medical equipment that we keep in our home for her cystic fibrosis treatments. Making less than I did before has made it impossible to catch up on this bill, so I'm asking for help with this extremely urgent bill.
To be candid, if we lose our access to electricity, our daughter could die or be severely injured. I cannot overstate how much your help with this bill would mean to my family; it would be lifesaving for my daughter. Thank you for your consideration, understanding, and compassion.
