This person has left the following thank you note:
I have been brought to tears by your kindness and generosity. It's amazing how people you've never met can be the reason for your happiness. I honestly can't believe that now I will be that much closer to being caught up on my rent! This pandemic has hurt so many people in so many ways..... has changed people's lives.... but then again, so have all of you who have given help to those in need! You have certainly changed MY life! This news has given me positivity and a new outlook on humanity. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough, so I vow to pay it forward as soon as I am able to. With much thanks, Bonnie
I Worked in My Field for 30 Years, but COVID Has Me on the Brink of Homelessness!
My Story:
I am a single, divorced woman who lives alone. I love animals and have two rescue cats who live with me. In my free time I loved to ballroom and Latin dance, but since the pandemic began, I haven't been able to do that. Dancing was my happy place, and I miss it a lot. I have always been self-sufficient, but Covid-19 has caused that to change. Prior to the pandemic, I had worked in the dental field for 30 years.
My financial situation began when I lost my job to the pandemic. Somehow, I have been able to somewhat make it through with no job; however, after totaling my car in April, I have been struggling with all of my other bills. I had to buy a used car and that took basically everything I had saved to do that. Currently, the only thing keeping me from being homeless is the moratorium on evictions, and that is set to expire early next year. I desperately need help getting caught up on my rent before that happens.
I think that I've finally caught a break in terms of looking for work, and I am currently in the process of signing on with a company to begin working remotely in my field. I'm incredibly grateful to have found work, but it will take a while for me to begin earning a paycheck, and even then, it'll be hard to get back on track. That's why I'm humbly asking for help with my rent. This short-term assistance would be lifesaving for me, and it would get me back to self-sufficiency when I could have just as easily been homeless. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
