We're a Family of Five Who Really Need Help Keeping Our Home After My Husband Was In a Car Accident!
My Story:
I am a married mother of three children. My husband and I have been married for 22 years, and since then, our household has always been full of music and laughter most of the time. I'm very proud of who my children are becoming as individuals as well. The challenges of 2020 have really brought all of us closer together as a family, and I'm thankful for that.
However, the pandemic has put us into a pretty dire financial situation. I had just received a fantastic promotion at work when the pandemic hit and shut down my employer. I've been out of work since then. To make everything worse, my husband was involved in a very serious accident that totaled his work van and temporarily kept him out of work. He only returned to work last week but on limited hours. Both of these circumstances have really gotten us behind on our rent, and we're in pretty severe danger of being evicted.
To be straightforward, we're facing almost certain eviction in January unless we get some help with our rent. With this help, we'll be able to keep our home, plain and simple. I'm looking to get back to work soon, and my husband will start working full-time when he's completely recovered. Once that happens, we'll be back to our old happy selves and will be able to pay the bills on time and in full. This would be a fantastic reminder to my whole family about the importance of giving to other who need help, and I'll make sure that we give to a family who's in our position once we're able to. On behalf of my family, thank you for your compassion and kindness during these difficult times.
