My Company Cut Our Hours & I Can't Afford My Rent Anymore! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a single man going through everyday life on his own. I work as a shipping clerk at a manufacturing facility, and I really enjoy my job. I've always been able to make ends meet pretty easily, but recently my company decided to reduce our hours in order to avoid layoffs.
We've been on reduced hours since May, and it has really affected my means of providing for myself. I'm having trouble keeping up with everything from rent to my utilities, and I need help before I get behind. Its reaching the point where I have to decide to wait for my hours to go back to normal or to find other employment. I'm really between a rock and a hard place with this decision because I can't afford my expenses now, but I'm older and would have a hard time finding a new job. I'm at my wit's end, so I am asking for help with my rent to tide me over until I can figure out what to do next.
I can't afford to get behind while I'm trying to find a solution to my employment problem. I know that if I can just get some help to buy me a little time, then I can get through losing my hours. I really hope that my hours go back to normal soon, but if they don't then this help will tide me over while I look for work. I will never forget this help, and I promise to give back in the future. Thank you all for your support and consideration.
