This person has left the following thank you note:
I humbly thank each and everyone that took the time to to donate to me and my family. I'm so beyond grateful for this help. This means I will be able to keep my family in our home. I never knew people would be this giving and willing to help in this time of need. This has been a very hard year for everyone and I appreciate everything.
I Lost My Job & Found Another but Can't Get Caught Up On Rent in Time to Keep Our Home! Please Help.
I'm a single mom of two girls. Both of my children are my entire life, and I would do anything for them. My youngest still lives with me, and my oldest is trying to join the Marine Corps. My youngest daughter is full of energy and loves to paint. I worked as a waitress to make ends meet for my family before the pandemic, but I lost my job back in March. Thankfully, I found work again at a local grocery store.
However, the gap in employment ate up all of my savings and has made it really difficult to catch up on all of our bills. We got behind on rent, and I was only paying half the balance each month to be able to put food on the table for my children. I still can't get enough hours at work to catch up either, and I really need help with our rent before we lose our home.
Right now, we're facing the prospect of living in our car if we get a full month behind on rent. We don't have anywhere to go or anyone else to ask for help, so we're here now to humbly request help with keeping our home. I'm hoping to have more hours at work available in the future and will be able to stay caught up once they do become available. If we can just keep our home for the next month, we will be in a good position to keep it for the foreseeable future. Thank you all for your consideration and compassion. We will truly never forget this assistance.
