COVID Has Already Threatened My Education & My Job. This Week, It's Going to Leave Me Homeless!
My Story:
I'm a single full-time college student and a full-time employee at my local bank. Balancing a full-time job with school is incredibly difficult, but I'm a hard worker so I have always managed to make it work. I work from home for the bank that I work for, but have experienced a decrease in hours, nonetheless.
This loss of hours has put me in a bind financially because as a full-time student, whatever money I have usually goes towards my bills or to my tuition payments. Therefore, I have been unable to build a savings account that could withstand something as serious as this pandemic. In addition to losing hours at work, my 1999 Chevy Prizm has finally been laid to rest, and I don't have any other means of transportation. This unexpected expense combined with the hours that I've lost as a result of the pandemic has forced me into my current financial bind. I am unable to meet all of my expenses, and I truly need help if I am going to keep my head above water.
I am humbly asking for help with my rent because I have to be able to keep my home to continue working and going to school. I have been able to balance my full-time commitment to my job and my full-time commitment to my dream of going to school like a tightrope walker, but I feel that I'm close to falling off my line. If I can get the help that I need, I will be able to keep my home, my job, and I can continue to pursue my education. I feel as if everything is hanging in the balance right now, and that getting this help will make sure that I don't lose it all. Thank you so much for your consideration and compassion.
