I Work with Special Needs Kids, and I Need Help Keeping My Home after Losing Income to Covid-19!
My Story:
I am an essential healthcare worker for special needs children who have Autism, are developmentally delayed, are deaf, who have cerebral palsy, etc. My patients are typically around 1-5 years old and have multiple diagnoses including weak immune systems, ADHD, etc. I work for a non-profit because I am passionate about their mission to help special needs children whose families cannot afford the services. I work hard every day to make sure that these children can grow up to be confident and successful adults.
Unfortunately, I lost a majority of my patients due to the pandemic because parents, rightfully, want to protect their children form contracting the virus. Working hard to help these children also meant that I was able to build up my savings over time, but now those have been completely depleted as a result of losing most of my clients. I have fallen behind on my rent and am now truly facing homelessness.
I have no choice but to turn to others for help with paying my rent now. I would be truly humbled to receive some assistance, and I know that I can keep my home and make it through this difficult period with a little bit of help. All I want is to be able to get back to helping the children that need me the most right now, and this assistance would do just that by allowing me to keep my home. Therefore, I am asking for help not only on my behalf, but on behalf of the children I work so hard to take care of day to day at my job. On behalf of myself and the children that I serve, I want to thank you for your compassion and support during this difficult time.
