Single Mom Needs Rent and Utility Help
My Story:
I am a single mother to a beautiful 7-year-old. This is our first year on our own and Covid-19 has made it exceedingly difficult to keep up with all of my bills. I have exhausted all the help my can give over the last couple of months in order to stay in our apartment. I know that if we do not get help with our bills soon then we will be evicted.
The pandemic has really thrown off my ability to budget for my bills. While I have been able to stay above water recently, I fear that this month I may fail. On top of our other expense, my daughter has very severe asthma and it costs a significant amount to treat it regularly. Specifically, we need help with our utility bill and our rent.
This funding will make sure that my daughter and I have a place to lay our heads until I can return to work. I am so thankful to have found Modest Needs when I did and I promise that when we an get back on our feet, I will become a regular donor. Thank you all for your support and for your generosity.
