Unexpected Expenses Are Going to Force Us Out of Our Home This Week! Please Help Us.
I am a single mother to a 17-year-old boy that has autism spectrum disorder, and we live with my mother. I am also disabled, and I work part-time but have been on leave from work due to the pandemic. My son loves collecting antiques, doing crafts, and playing chess; he is incredibly intelligent despite his disability and is the sweetest child ever. My mom is a retired senior that works part-time when the New York Mets come to Florida for Spring Training.
We live month to month off of my disability checks and my mom's retirement benefits, plus I am getting a little bit of unemployment right now due to the pandemic. Recently I had to purchase a new laptop for my son because he is having to do school virtually, and I thought I would be able to work it out financially but then some car issues also came up. The laptop is important because his crashed and he needs it for schoolwork. Yet, the car is our only form of transportation, so we needed to make sure we got it fixed because we have to have a way to get around. Due to these unexpected expenses, we are struggling to make rent and cannot afford to pay all of our bills. Therefore, we need help with paying our rent before we lose our home.
We're already behind, and we're going to be evicted very soon unless we get some short-term assistance. I can't imagine what we would do if we're evicted because we don't have anywhere else to go honestly. Our unexpected expenses just piled up all at once and got us behind, but if we get this help, we'll be stable again. I promise that we will repay this help as soon as we're able to. Thank you for your understanding and compassion.
