My Job as a Healthcare Worker Was Outsourced Due to COVID. Now, I Need Help with Rent!

My Story:

I am a single mother of two: my 20-year-old son, who doesn't live at home anymore, and my 12-year-old daughter, who is partaking in virtual learning right now. I have worked in healthcare for more than 15 years, and I recently graduated from school with my associate degree in Health Information Technology.

However, due to Covid-19, I lost my job in July because the company that I worked for could no longer afford to finance our department and decided to outsource it to a different company. Currently, I need help paying my rent for this next month. I will start a new job with the state of Wisconsin on at the end of September, but I am still in danger of missing my rental payment which I have never done before. My daughter and I don't have any other option but to ask for help with this bill.

This help would relieve a ton of stress because I would be free from the fear of losing my home. I have been trying to figure out a way to be proactive in terms of finding a solution to paying our important bills since I was let go of in July, but I have not succeeded. I believed that a career in healthcare would guarantee me some level of job security, but that wasn't the case; therefore, I will reevaluate my career path and continue to manage my finances appropriately. Thank you all for your consideration; my daughter and I would be forever gracious should you choose to donate to our cause.
