My Boyfriend and I Were Both Laid-off Due to COVID. Now, We Need Help with Our Rent!

My Story:

My partner and I have been together, happily, for almost three years now. We enjoy just spending time together watching movies and being with friends, and we have had a lot of time to do that lately thanks to this pandemic. While I appreciate the time that this pandemic has allowed us to spend together, my boyfriend and I have been out of work for a while now, making it difficult to get by. I was working for a mortgage company that laid-off a lot of its staff shortly after the pandemic hit, and my boyfriend was also working full-time.

Before the Coronavirus crisis occurred, we were perfectly well-off in terms of paying our bills month to month; however, lately we have struggled pretty severely. Recently, I have gone back to work, but my boyfriend is still looking for employment and we are behind on our rent. We really need help getting caught up so that we do not get evicted.

This help would buy us the time that we need to get enough money together to pay our bills on time again, and it would give my boyfriend some extra time to get find a job. More importantly, we would be free from the threat of eviction. We will get back on our feet soon with a little short-term assistance in the meantime.
