Covid-19 : Emergency C-Section and Job Loss. Please Help
My Story:
I am a hard working first time single mom who loves her baby boy. I volunteer in my community and started a cafe for teens to have a safe place to go after school. I have been running our community place for 7 years and work with kids on the side for my job.
I provide respite for children in need in my community. After March, I was unable to get hours because of Covid-19 pandemic. Although I continued to work at my other job while pregnant, I got behind on my electric bill. A month a go I went in for a routine ultrasound and found out I needed an Emergency C-Section that day. The baby wasn't due for another month which I had planned to work and now unfortunately unable to. We spent 10 days in NICU with no visitors. One of my main bills that I fell behind on was my electric during this time. I need help with my electric bill which is several months late.
The funding will help me get caught up with one of my major bills. It will set my mind at ease that I will not lose our power. I will continue to help those in our community and volunteer to provide kids a safe place to go!
