After Facing a Divorce, I'm Facing Homelessness Thanks to COVID. Please Help Me Pay Rent!
My Story:
I am a single woman living by myself. I moved recently after a divorce to pursue a career in music writing and performing R&B Soul music. Three years ago, I also fell into the event/wedding planning industry as a means to support myself financially while I pursued my passion. I'm a believer, an optimist, and I am dedicated to living the best life I can while spreading as much joy as possible to others.
I've had to live paycheck to paycheck since the divorce and have managed to find work to keep my head above water while I pursue my own dreams for my life. However, due to the pandemic, the job I currently have in events/weddings is now down to just 15 hours a week, putting me into a dire financial situation. I wanted to stay on board to help them, and we were fine up until this past month when the city went back a phase, closing our business indefinitely. I am now out of money, and I won't be able to afford rent for the next few months. I am humbly seeking assistance with paying my rent.
This assistance would help immensely, and I will be able to figure out how to survive another month so I can stay in my current home. I don't have the money saved in order to afford a move, but I hope that business will pick up again soon so that I can get back to a place where I can afford to pay my bills. Thank you all so much for your consideration and for the kindness you all have shown me during this difficult time.
