My Story:
I am a US Army Veteran who needs help to pay this month�s rent. I currently work for a senior living facility, but due to the Coronavirus, I have lost my full-time position. I am also a Primary Autism Teacher�s Aide but am not employed right now due to the pandemic. I have applied for other positions in my area but have not been successful in finding another job at this time due to the nature of my current job. I have two children so it is a challenge to find another position when I cannot leave them unattended.
Due to Covid-19, my hours have been cut because of the quarantine my facility has faced. Normally, I have the opportunity to pick up extra hours over the summer break to help keep us financially afloat, but our hours and overtime are currently limited due to a low resident status. My income has been cut in half due to this, and it is hard to find viable options to support myself during this moment of crisis. I need your help to pay my current rent balance so that my remaining income can cover my basic household expenses.
This assistance will tide me over and keep me current until my kids can get back to school. Once they go back, I will be able to work more again. We will never forget the people who have helped us along the way, including you all. From the bottom of our hearts, my children and I thank you.
