We Have a Baby at Home and Were Furloughed. Now My Wife and I Need Help Keeping Our Home!
My Story:
I am a married father of a lovely 14 month-old daughter. I am working as a cook to make a living, while my wife is a self-employed nail technician.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we worked very hard to pay our basic expenses every month without asking for any assistance, but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. However, because of Covid-19, my restaurant was closed, and I have been furloughed until further notice. To make matters even more difficult, due to the the impact of Covid-19, my wife's workplace was closed for few months. During this period of time, we were in quarantine at home following the stay-at-home order from the governor without making any income. At the moment, because of the fact that the number of people contracting Covid-19 has been dramatically increasing in our state, my wife is still staying at home as her job requires close contact with customers. She does not feel safe to be back to work yet because she feels worried and she wants to make sure our little daughter is completely safe from Covid-19. We desperately need assistance paying our mortgage bill.
This assistance would help us in overcoming this unexpected situation. Specifically, this help will bring our household current with all of our bills again and will restore our sense of stability because we won't have to live with the fear of being foreclosed on. I am going back to work when my restaurant reopens in the coming weeks, which will give us a chance to rebuild our savings in case of an emergency and an unexpected situation like this. I know that rebuilding after this virus will be difficult, but I know that we can do it if we all stick together. I promise that my family will give back to another family in need once we are able. Thank you for your kindness and support.
