My Boyfriend and I Both Lost Our Jobs to COVID and We Need Help Keeping Our Home!
My Story:
I am a mother to my young son, and we currently live with my boyfriend. I love my son, and we do our best to take care of him. However, things have been tough lately because of the pandemic. I have recently been laid-off from work, and so has my boyfriend. He used to work at an electronics store before the pandemic.
We are struggling a lot financially right now because we have no income, and we used to work paycheck to paycheck. We did not have much in terms of savings, and we definitely did not have enough to get us through an extended period with no work. We've also been waiting a long time to get unemployment, but have yet to receive any of those benefits. We will probably never see any of those payments at all to be honest. This situation has put us behind on our rent and we could really use help catching up on it before we get evicted.
I know that if we don't catch up soon, we will lose our home. I cannot afford to not have a roof over my child's head, so I desperately need help catching up with rent until my boyfriend and I can get back to work. Thank you for your generosity and kindness in advance.
