Coronavirus: Missed Work, Need Rent Help
My Story:
I am a married grandmother with two wonderful grandchildren. My 9-year-old grandson loves sports and my 11-year-old granddaughter loves to sing. I work full-time at Walmart, but my husband has cancer, so I have had to miss work a lot recently in order to keep him safe. I had to quarantine twice because people at work, as well as some of my close family tested positive for Covid-19. I had to take it upon myself to self-quarantine to keep us safe.
We earned enough money to pay for our basic expenses every month, and we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. However, when the pandemic hit and I had to quarantine, we had no money in our savings set aside for our rent payment. I need help with our rent payment which is one month late currently.
I have started back to work at full-time hours, which will give us a chance to get back to paying our rent on time if we can get the assistance we need to get caught up. This help would mean a lot to my family, and it would set a great example for my grandchildren by demonstrating to them, firsthand, the impact that even a little bit of help can have on someone's life. Thank you all for taking the time to consider my family for your donation.
