My Autoimmune Disorder Has Kept Me Out of Work Lately. Now I Need Help with a Water Bill!
My Story:
I am a newly single mother to two truly wonderful girls. Recently, I purchased my first home for us. I work as a bartender and as a liquor ambassador. My daughters are, ages 16 and 14 years old, are both in school, but are learning remotely due to the pandemic.
I was working for 10 years as a bartender and as a liquor ambassador for two companies before Covid-19 hit, but now I am just barely making it. I am at high-risk for the virus due to having lupus, which has resulted in me having to quarantine, meaning I have had to miss a lot of work. I am incredibly stressed out right now, which has caused my lupus to flare up and I do not know when I will be able to return to work as a result. Currently, I need help just to be able to keep my family's home.
This funding would relieve a significant amount of stress in my life because I could sleep easier knowing that my daughters and I will have a place to live during this pandemic. It would also free up some funds for me to use on other things like medical expenses, which have built up because after my separation I was left without health insurance. I just want to make sure that my daughters and I can have a safe, stable place to live until this is all over. Thank you for you understanding and kindness.
