Hello!! I just want to take this time out to personally thank everyone that has contribute something in this hard time I know I cant say THANK YOU!! enough but I really appreciate this the past few months has been rough and a hardship not knowing when Ill be paying my bills or when Ill be returning to work which is still uncertain So to receive a donation is a major relieve and I can sleep peacefully for another month. So from the bottom of my heart thank you again!!
After six months, I'm About to Go Back to Work, but My Landlord is About to Evict Me. Please Help.
My Story:
I currently live alone in a single-family home that I rent. I have fallen on some hard times due to the pandemic and I need some help if I am going to get back on my feet. I am in a sizeable bind financially after being furloughed from my job at the DMV. Despite what people say about the DMV, I really liked my job a lot and I miss the people I worked with. However, I miss my income more than I miss my job because I am really struggling to make ends meet right now.
It looks like we're finally about to go back to work, but I'm behind on my rent and my landlord has told me that if I can't get caught up, he's going to have no choice but to evict me. I was already struggling before the furlough. If I get evicted, there's no way I'll be able to find a new apartment and pay first and last months' rent PLUS a deposit, and that's if anybody will even rent to me. I don't have anywhere else to turn, and for the first time in a long time, I'm really scared. I've asked for help from other organizations, but to this point, no one has had any help for me.
If you would PLEASE help me catch up on the rent, you wouldn't just be paying rent. You'd be giving me the peace of mind that I need until my work reopens or until I can find other employment. Without my home, I know I will not be able to go back to work, and I simply do not have enough money to move into a new apartment. Thank you all for your understanding.
