I'm a Single Mom of 6. We've Lost All Our Possessions due to COVID. Please Help us Keep Our Water On

My Story:

I am a single mother to six amazing children. I have two daughters and two sons, as well as my two nephews. I love my family more than anything in the entire world, but we have faced our fair share of hardships together. For instance, just a little while ago now, we lost my little sister and my little brother the same year, which was especially hard on the kids and I. Furthermore, last year, our landlord emptied out our entire home, everything we owned, a day before we were set to move it all out; we lost everything, including all my pictures of my brother and sister.

it took every dime we had saved to get the few possessions we had left into storage, and now we're living in a different apartment. It's small, but it's what we can afford until I get back to work. We've been able to use unemployment to stay caught up on most things, but what we didn't know is that this apt had a leak when we moved in, so the water bill we got last time was the biggest bill I've ever seen. The water company won't work with us, and at this point, they've said that they're going to disconnect us on Friday and charge us $1000 to be reconnected. I just don't have that kind of money, and I definitely don't have enough money to move anywhere else, but we can't live without water, and if we can't get help to pay this bill, I don't know what I'm going to do.

We're disputing this large bill, but the dispute won't be considered for at least a couple more weeks. But, if you can help us to afford this bill, I promise, one way or another, I'll pay every bit of it back. This donation means more to me than the money we would receive; this donation would give my children hope by showing them that there is still good in this world, by showing them that there is still a world out there that is worth fighting for.
