This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeWe are forever grateful to each and everyone of our donors who made a conscious sacrifice to help our family financially during our time of need. We realize through your generosity, and unconditional care, and love we are able to remain in our home...and avoid eviction. Although, we've felt helpless in the past...we are hopeful in the present. When I told my children with the assistance of Modest Needs, and many caring donors we received the much needed funds to remain in our home, and have electricity...they began jumping up and down and saying, 'Really Momma? We don't have to move? I answered,'No, we have the money to pay our rent because of Modest Needs and caring donors...and for that I/we are thankful. Its not everyday a family can testify that strangers cared enough about their family, and crises to help either emotionally, or financially. But, we are special. So, from our family home to everyone who helped us...we say, 'Thank you, and may many blessings come your way!' We love you all♥️ God knows we are soooooooo Grateful for you all♥️ This is truly a life changing moment for our family...we can't say enough words to express our gratitude and appreciation to you all ♥️ Thanks you all...again and again ♥️ Thank you very much ♥️

Coronavirus: Single Mom of 6 /Disabled Children Needs Help with Rent

My Story:

I am a single mother of six children. My youngest daughter is 15 years young, and sister to the 3 girls I took in last year. I am caring for 3 Additional teenagers who parents have otherwise abandoned them. One child who is 15 years young and takes insulin to control her diabetes, her mother moved to Texas and left her with her abusive father. I took her in, and have cared for her since. The 2nd child is 17 years old [Diabetic and takes insulin]and my Goddaughter who both parents are drug addicts, and unable to care for her...she's a junior in high school with honor classes. The last child is a 15 year old sophomore who was removed from her home because of sexual abuse by her biological father. My daughter is 15 years young, and loves all of them enough to share our home, her life, and space to ensure they are safe and sound.

I don't have a lot, and was diagnosed with Emphysema in June of 2019, but I don't have a heart to turn them loose to the streets. My 19 year old son is a college student who suffers from Ulcerative Colitis, but is determined to make a better life for his family and himself. I've worked at Marriott Hotel as a Supervisor, but my health, and my children health has caused me to reduce my hours prior to the hotel shutting its doors due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, I had surgery on my left foot because of chronic ulcers. I don't want my children to know we are falling behind on our rent, and utilities because all I want them to focus on is getting good grades, and going to college to improve their lives. They deserve the best in life. I need Modest Needs help paying my rent for this month.

This funding will help us become current on our rent and hopefully we will be going back to work soon. Your help will give our family a chance to get back on track, and me to continue supporting our family members. I don't want us to become homeless, and see my children become wards of the state. Please help us.
