Coronavirus: Widowed Mom of 2 Needs Rent Help
My Story:
I am a widow and a single mother to two wonderful girls, who are 16 and 21. A few years ago, my 21-year-old daughter was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis and a few years after he diagnoses, my husband passed away due to a massive heart attack. While we have faced our fair share of hardship, my girls and I like to take time to enjoy life by going on long nature walks with our dog together.
Prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, I worked full-time as a screen printer. I was laid-off when the pandemic began in March, and since that time my former employer has been making it difficult for me to enroll in unemployment benefits. This has caused my family and I significant financial hardship, forcing us to use up all of my small savings account to pay our expenses. Currently, I am struggling to pay our rent, so we could really use some help in that regard.
This funding would ensure that we have a roof over our heads until this pandemic is over and I can get back to work. My priority right now is to get back to work so that I can take care of my daughters and their needs. They are my entire world and I will not allow them to be without care. Thank you all for your help in advance. I know my daughters and I will be eternally grateful to you all.
