This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI just wanted to say that on behalf of the Childers family (est. 2018), thank you. We are forever grateful and touched by the kindness you have shown. During our darkest of times, a family member told me about Modest Needs and I went ahead and took a little look to see what all the hype was about. I must say I didnt think something like this would have really happened to someone like me. We have personally seen that kindness can be shared from any part of the world and its clear to me now that I do will one day be able to pay it forward. We all gotta start from somewhere and no matter what I understand now that in the end, everything really does happen for a reason. This has been a lesson to me that I must always explore all options even when Im in the position to help someone else. I truly do thank you from the bottom of my heart. This pandemic hasnt been easy but its clear that for those who are fortunate enough to help other will always strive to do so no matter what. Thank you so very much. Childers family

Essential Workers With Immunocompromised Child Need Rent Help

My Story:

I am a 23 year old married women. I have a daughter who is a year and a half old with a weak immune system. We've been doing everything we can to keep her safe during this time and that includes taking two weeks off to quarantine while she was receiving covid-19 related treatment. I work full time as a CSA and my county jail to help rehabilitate inmates before they get released. My husband works as a detention deputy in the next county over.

During my daughters quarantine period I had to take time off from work in which was not paid. My checks have been short making it extremely difficult to stay on top of bills and such. We live pay check to paycheck and had to tap into the credit card putting us in a position I hate to be in. We had no savings due to the fact we don't make much and we don't qualify for any other assistance. We just need someone to help us just this once. We need Modest Needs help with paying our rent.

This current funding will allow for my family to get a better grip on the financial situation and we can focus on being able to provide for my daughter versus stressing over bills. I have currently been interviewing for a better job within the sheriffs office that will pay more for my family and allow us to be better off. The long lasting effects are endless when I know for a fact the grass is greener on the other side. My husband and I have set up a budget to allow for us to stay focused each month when payments arrive. We just want to express that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us and it only takes one time to make a huge difference in someone's life. Thank you.
