Coronavirus: Parents Struggling, Please Help With Rent
My Story:
We have an amazing blended family with 6 kids. Two of them ventured out into the world on their own and four of them are still at home with us. They are such a wonderful kids and they are my world. Just a few years ago one of my kid was fighting a battle against Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma cancer, and even then you would never see him without a smile on his face and kindness in his heart. He is now 2 years and almost 8 months cancer free. My husband and I both enjoy studying the Bible. He works so hard making sure everyone has everything that they need. My husband is our center and he keeps everything moving forward. He is encouraging, supportive, and loving. He takes care of all of us, and we do not take the time to show him our appreciation like we need to.
As most people in the US were being laid off and business forced to close. My husband and I are part of the essential workers group and he is a pressman of 20 years, who prints ads that go all over the US. He was fairly confident our income would not be affected because he would be considered essential. Only to be furloughed instead. I work overnights at a I80 rest area. A few of my co-workers had to take off to take care of their littles ones at home. In order to help my stressed out employer, I offered to take extra shifts and ended up working 28 days straight. From day 1 of our pandemic I took extreme safety persuasions, mask, gloves and constantly disinfecting everything at work to keep all travelers just as safe. Then last week I found out I had momentarily been exposed to someone who tested positive for corvid-19. Even though I was feeling fine, I was furloughed in-order to keep everyone safe. Now we are faced with financial struggles. We need Modest Needs help paying our one month of rent.
This funding will help keep us from falling back into the hole of debt. The impact this funding would make within our family would be a lesson in life that would not be forgotten. Thank you.
