Coronavirus: Single Educator Unemployed. Please Help With Utilities
My Story:
I am a single mother of a 15 year old daughter. I have been a VPK teacher for 13 years and I am also a student pursuing a degree in Health and Human Services.
I was doing just fine until COVID 19 pandemic hit and caused me to lose my job. I have applied for and have not received any unemployment benefits. Unfortunately my place of business does not provide for or pay for sick days or unforeseen issues. I have been unable to pay the most bills for this months although some bill collectors have been understanding some bills are mandatory. I need Modest Needs help paying my utilities.
This funding would mean a lot to us. Without electricity myself as well as my daughter will not be able to complete school work nor will I be able to provide a meal for her. This funding will relieve some of my stress level because I will not have to worry about being in the dark and we will not be behind on school work which education is imperative for the future. This help will absolutely encourage me to always have something put back for a rainy day and to always be prepared. Thank you.
