A Veteran with 2 Kids Needs Help With Water Bill
My Story:
We are a married couple with two teenage boys, both active in sports (cross country and wrestling) and church. As a family we work in our community through the church, delivering groceries and offering prayers. I am a disabled combat Veteran, and served 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan and my wife is my full-time caregiver.
We live on a fixed income from month to month and pay our expenses with little to no trouble. Within a span of two weeks our only vehicle broke down and required significant repairs and then we endured an unexpected medical bill that is not being covered by the Veteran�s Administration. This had put us in a financial bind. We need Modest Needs� help to pay our water bill, which is one month late. After paying our car repairs and medical bill and utilities we were unable to pay our water bill.
This funding will bring us current with our utilities and restore and ease undue stress, especially during these trying times. My wife is looking at starting a job working from home through a VA Caregivers Group and this will give us a chance to build back our savings fund. This shows and inspires us and our boys to continue helping others in turn. Thank you.
