I have been walking around all day saying 'Wow', 'How incredibly blessed I am'. I must be honest. When I initially thought about reaching out to someone for help I was kind of nervous because this was not something I was used to doing, especially with someone I did not even know. As I really thought about this more and more I decided that I would just put the request out there as plainly, honestly and most humbly and let God do the rest. It took me a while before I actually hit the submit button. Once I did the ball got rolling. However, I was completely taken aback when my request was funded literally a few days after I asked Modest Needs for help with my electricity bill. I didn't even have time to go a look at my posting, as I came to find out that the reason I could not see it was because it had already been funded. Like I said, 'Wow' My heart is full of joy and happiness just knowing that someone out there took an interest in my well being. They don't even know me. I will forever be touched by this most selfless act of kindness and giving that was bestowed upon me. So, to the person (or persons) that read my story took a sincere interest in my life, I will never forget you. You will be blessed evermore so for this act of generosity. Single Female Needs Help With Electric Bill due to Loss of Work Hours
My Story:
I am a self-supporting, single female who lives alone, along with her three furry felines. I love helping those more vulnerable like senior citizens who may rely on someone to give them a hand or be available for a supportive ear. My faith in God has allowed me to pick myself up in difficult times and keep doing my best. Usually, my best self shines when I am serving someone in their time of need. My most recent work has been in disaster case management working with Hurricane Harvey survivors. This work experience has been a constant reminder of how blessed I have been in comparison to those still suffering.
Over the last three years I have been fortunate to work under different contracts and programs that have been funded to assist with Hurricane Harvey repair, recovery and relief efforts. I have fallen in love with this line of work and find it very rewarding. The downside is that these government funded contracts can end at any time, with or without notice. In between contracts I have slowly depleted any extra money that I might have saved from working, which is impacting my ability to make ends meet. I have been without income for few months until very recently. I need Modest Needs Help with my electric Bill.
This gift would prevent the disconnection of my electricity. It would also alleviate the costly reconnection fees that it would take to turn my electricity back on when able. Thankfully, my new job is slowly beginning to generate my primary source of income. This gift would increase my ability to get back on my feet and get caught up with my monthly living expenses and responsibilities. Thank you!
