This person has left the following thank you note:

Oh my.......I don't know where to start. There are just no words to express the amount of gratitude I have in my heart right now. Miracles never cease! I had no idea that organizations like this even existed. You are all angels and and you can rest assured in the future whenever I can become a donor I will. It may not be often or much but I will do what I can when I can. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!

My Husband's Heart Issues Caused Him to Miss Work. We Behind on Our Mortgage & Facing Foreclosure.

My Story:

HI there! My husband and are both in our 'golden years.' I worked for a very long time but am now fully disabled thanks some serious health problems I'm struggling with. My husband takes care of me. He's worked hard all of his life as a plumber, and he's always been able to provide for us, but to say that we live paycheck to paycheck would be an understatement. We're frugal, but we need every penny we earn in order to get by.

My husband works for himself, so he doesn't have anything like paid time off or other benefits. If he gets sick and can't work, then we just lose whatever income he might've earned. My husband has had heart issues for a while that he can normally control with medicine, but over the holidays, things got worse. He ended up very sick & wasn't able to work for about three weeks, so we lost a month of income that we count on to survive. We had some savings were able to use to pay most of our bills while my husband couldn't work, but we didn't have enough to fully pay our mortgage. We've been behind on that bill for two months, and the bank has tried to work with us, but they say they can't wait for us to catch up any more and have told us that if we're not current by the end of the month, they're going to begin foreclosing.

Our home is our only investment. We've paid on it for years. If we lose it, we won't only be homeless. We'll have absolutely nothing to show for a lifetime of hard work. So if you would please help us with just the one month's payment we're still behind on the mortgage, you'd be saving our home and everything we've worked for all this time. We try to help others every time we can. Now, we're the ones who need help, and I'm so grateful to you for thinking of us.
