We Were Forced to Move Twice Last Year. We've Finally Found a Low-Cost Home. Please Help Us Keep It!

My Story:

I am a married 'stay at home' mom. My husband works as a forklift operator. We have been blessed with 3 amazing kids. Our oldest daughter is almost 8 years old. I have been home with her since she was born and now am taking on the challenge of homeschooling. She loves any kind of art and loves people even more. Then we have boy/girl twins who recently turned 5. They are the traditional boy and girl with our son being rough and tough and our daughter being a little, sassy princess. My husband and I strive to raise them with love and understanding.

Since my husband and I met we have lived paycheck to paycheck. We have managed to make a very happy life with the bare minimum, and we were actually doing pretty well. Then, about a year ago, we suddenly received notice that the home we'd been renting had been sold, and we had 60 days to move out. We were all heartbroken not only because we loved that house, but because its rent was well within our budget.

When we started looking for a new place to live, we found out hos much rents had gone up on our area. We couldn't find anything in our budget, and we also couldn't afford to buy a home, so as a last resort, we moved in with my mother=in-law while we looked for a new place to live that we could afford. Since she lived a long way from where we'd been living and money was tight, my husband had to resign from his job of almost 10 years because we couldn't afford the commute. It took my husband about five months to find a new job, and then almost as soon as that happened, my mother-in-law told us that her situation had changed and that we were going to have to move out and find somewhere else to live. This made it the second time in less than a year that we'd been forced out of a home through no fault of our own, and it took a toll on all of us.

A few months ago, after months of staying with friends and in motels, we finally, finally found a new place to live. But all of these expenses have taken a huge toll on our finances, and after paying for all of the move=in expenses, we're still short on the first month's rent. Now, if we can't pay the rent we owe by the end dof this week, we're going to lose the ONE place we actually can afford and have been searing for for over a year. If that happens, we're going to have to go to a shelter because we can't keep paying to live in motels, and it took us nearly a year to find this place in the first place!

Please, please help us to stop this cycle and keep the home we worked so hard to find. Please help us catch up just this one month's rent. After that, we'll be back on track & will be able to take care of ourselves, but we really need help to climb up out of this hole. My husband, kids and I are all grateful for any help you can offer us during this horrible time. Thank you!
