Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

First let me introduce myself. Hi am the parent of the two teenage boys that everyone has so generously reached out to help. Words cannot begin to express my gratefulness to everyone that has donated. I want everyone to know that I appreciate you every penny, nickel, dime or dollar donated. I have worked my entire life (since 17) and have never found myself in a situation like I am now. I am usually the one to help others. And this is the philosophy that I have taught my boys. Better rewards to those that give to others. I honestly can say I do t know if the cart was before the horse or vice versa. By that I mean I dont know how I ended up in this predicament. Losing my residency because of he landlord sold the money place and then it snowballed from there with the engine blowing in my truck. I continued to pray and have faith and through prayers my faith in humanity was restored. People that dont know me or my children have blessed us in more ways than they will ever know. I want to thank each and everyone one of you for helping my family. We have the means now to get a place and having that is half the battle. Again thanks to everyone for one pebble has caused such a huge ripple in the lives of me and my children. Thank you again..

Homeless, Please Help Single Mother Keep Phone On

My Story:

I am a single mother of two teenage boys. My oldest son is in the band at his school, and my youngest is in the computer program. Both of my boys are getting good grades and look forward to starting high school. I work for the school district.

I recently had to leave the residence that I was living in because it was a rental and the owner sold the unit. The new owner chose not to have tenants so we had to move abruptly. Along with this, the engine blew out in my truck for which I had to use my savings to do the repair. We had no where to go and we are staying in a hotel that is depleting all our savings. I hate the affect that this is having on my kids. I am teaching them to be grateful we are together and alive. I feel like a failure to them because they deserve better. I need Modest Needs help to pay our phone bill. I simply cannot afford it this month and my phone is essential for us.

This funding would give me some breathing room and allow me to get back on track with everything. I dont want to see my kids stressed and I want to be able to provide them happiness and security.
