We Need Help to Afford Orthotics for Our Autistic Son
My Story:
I am a married mother of 2 wonderful children. My 6 year old daughter is very energetic and bubbly and loves being with people. She loves school and reading books. My 3 year old son is so sweet and loves giving snuggles. He was recently diagnosed with autism and has a speech/language delay. He has to wear orthotic braces to help correct his feet turning in. He loves trains and cars and playing with his sister. I am a full time stay at home mom and my husband works full time outside of the home as a corporate trainer for his company.
We are a one income household who lives pretty much paycheck to paycheck each month. With an official diagnosis for our son, we are struggling to pay for some of the things he needs. Our insurance is straight deductible so we have to pay a significant amount out of pocket before they cover things at 100%. We need Modest Needs to help us pay for the orthotic braces our son needs to help correct his gait and walking.
We are responsible for the amount left on our deductible with insurance and with it being so close to the holidays we are unable to make such a large payment in addition to our regular bills. This funding would help relieve some of the stress that has come with unexpected expenses since we received the autism diagnosis.
