User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI would like to thank everyone who was able to donate to help me out of a very difficult situation. I have never not been able to make my bills and to find people in this world today that are willing to help a complete stranger in tough times is just amazing. I don't think that I would ever have gotten out of the 'being behind' if it were not for your help. I feel that now I can breath again and this has taken so much stress off of me , you just don't realize how grateful I am. Thank you all so so very much.

Mortgage Payment Needed For Divorced Woman After Missing Work

My Story:

I am a single 62 year old woman who got divorced after 37 years of marriage. I was working as an ambulance driver for 4 years until the company closed. I took part time work and soon after I found a full time position that I love. Soon after that though, I lost a job again. In my free time, I volunteer for Toys for Tots and enjoy helping others.

After the closing of the ambulance company, I fell behind on all my bills. When I was hired full time I didn't have enough time to start saving because of playing catch up and paying late payment fees. This year I was almost caught up then the electric company charged me a fine because I had received shut off notices and I had never been disconnected. That was extra money I really didn't have. For the past 2 years I have been playing catch up and I am trying hard but with the early layoff I just really need some help. I need Modest needs assistance paying my mortgage which is 1 month behind at this time. I start back working again in February.

This funding will relieve a lot of stress and I won't lose my home. I will be current on my payment and I will be able to sleep and not worry. It would greatly impact my life as I try to help others along my journey.
