This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI want to thank everyone who in one way or another has been involved so that this blessing has come to my home. They don't imagine how many times I asked God for my request to be accepted and to touch the hearts of the donors. I must tell you that this is extremely important for me and my daughters since now I can say that we will spend our Christmas at home !!!! Many times we think there is no solution to problems, and hope is lost, the light comes. In my case all the involved donors helped us to have a new beginning where I can now, be happy and calm that we are going to be in our house this Christmas, and that now I will be able to update my bills and offer my daughters the stability they need. Since for me they are the most important thing in my life. And situations like these are those that teach us that we are vulnerable and that if there are good people who can help us and that when we have the possibility to help more, however small, we do not hesitate to do so ... And if is somebody thinking about donate, please do it!!! because it doesn't matter how small is your donation little by little your are helping a Family like mine to make a WISH COME TRUE!!!! Today all of you have been helping me to demonstrate to people around me that been optimist in the middle of the storm is not a bad thing...People have been around telling me that Im by my self here that I wont be able to make it!!! Now I will be able to say: ' Im not by myself I have a lot of hearts that help me when i was desperate and give me a second chance!!!!! I'm sorry if my english is not that good!! but I want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Single Mom Lost Income Over the Summer is Still Catching Up

My Story:

I am a single mom working in transportation services. I have two wonderful daughters who are 13 and 14 years old. My 13 year old is in the gifted program at school, and my 14 year old is in the band at high school. We moved from Puerto Rico in 2014 and we have been trying to adapt to this new environment, learn a new language and build a new life in the USA. We live with our 3 dogs and both of my daughters are very active and artistic.

I am working full time and trying to also spend as much time as possible with my daughters.. During the regular school year, I can make over time, but during the summer we just work 4 days a week and those 2 months affected me a lot this year. I fell behind on many bills. I really need Modest Needs assistance with my rent. If I do not get the assistance I am afraid that the owner of the house will evict us.

This funding will have a huge impact on my family. It will help us keep our home and allow us to save enough money to get through the year. I really do not want to be homeless with my daughters, they don't deserve it. This can definitely help me to get back on track and allow my daughters not to stress. Thank you.
