This person has left the following thank you note:
I want to thank my Donor's AND Modest needs from the bottom of my heart for assisting me and my family. It was a long and difficult road to find someone to support us and care about our well being, and then we were blessed with Modest needs and their donors'. I was HONESTLY terrified that i would have to go back to my abuser, and cause more damage to my Heart. I honestly believe that my fear of this is what caused my latest bout of Heart palpitations, and sent me to the hospital. I consider my Donor's , My Angels! you all have a great heart, and are loving people to help strangers in their time of need. I wish the best for all of my donors', and I hope you all receive and abundance of blessings just as you all have blessed me and my Family!! SINCERELY, Pamela & Family
Hospitalization and Bed Rest Caused Single Mother of 2 to Fall Behind
I am a single mother of 2, I have a 14 year old son who plays football, and an 11 year daughter. I have been employed with the County School system for 5 years, where I started off as a food service worker, then substitute teacher, then a paraprofessional teacher, and now I am now a registrar. In addition, I am working on my certification to become a ' Full-time' Teacher.
I earn enough to pay my rent and utilities, however, i suffered from Atrial Fibrillation, and High Blood pressure, and was hospitalized for 2 weeks, and then put on bed rest for a week. This caused my paycheck to be short. I moved to my present home running from a domestic violence situation, and have been proud of myself for maintaining it, because my family resides in Texas. I am in need of help with my electric bill. I am afraid I will get behind in all of my bills which will cause me to fall behind in my rent. If I loose this apartment, I will have to go to a shelter, or move back with my abuser, which is not an option for me.
It took me a LONG time to get away from my abuser and I am truly scared. If i am able to get assistance, this will bring me current on my bills and I can start from scratch in November. I won't have to worry about catching up or paying late fees. If accepted, this will give me a second chance at peace and serenity, and a continued happy life for my kids.
