I wish I could give you all individual hugs. You do not know how much hope you have given my family. Never in my life have I been so on edge wondering on how to bills, selling everything we could in the house, dramatically reducing our buying of food and negotiating every bill was causing so much stress and grief in the house. I love you all, and cannot wait to pay it forward. Since moving to Kansas, winter's are so cold for this Texas family and after several rounds of illness, I do not want our house to be too cool. I am so happy that God allowed me to found this website during this trying time. I was in tears everyday wondering how on earth we were going to get through this last month of hardness, of deep debt and struggle. Parents of 2 Working Hard to Catch Up After Unemployment Need Your Help to Keep Lights On
My Story:
I am a married mother of two little boys, ages 6 and 2 years old, and I am currently 4 months pregnant. I work full time as a project assistant and my husband is a product engineer.
My husband was unemployed for most of last year so we fell behind on several bills until we moved to Kansas in January. We have been living paycheck to paycheck and trying to pay off bills there while living here. To add to this, at the beginning of this month we all fell sick and I missed work with no pay. We need now Modest Needs help with our electricity bill.
Since I got a job in late July, this has been really helping with paying off our debts we incurred during my husbands unemployment, but we need a hand up. I feel like this one-time help with the electricity bill will help us finally become financially stable. Next month is our last month to pay off late fees and we have a budget that allows us to do so. Personally, this would give me peace of mind. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
