Wow! I cried when I opened up my email and saw that my request had been funded. I am elated. I am relieved to get some much needed financial help. This funding will allow me to continue to work to take care of myself. I am so struggling from paycheck to paycheck. This funding will take some of the immediate pressure and stress from me. I am so very thankful to each and everyone of you. I hope each of you can feel the appreciation that I feel from your reaching out to help me. Thank you and may God Bless you.
Widowed Grandmother Fighting Cancer Needs Help to Keep Vehicle
I am a widowed woman living alone in senior housing. My son and his three children live in the same town as I do and I spend lots of time with them. I have two cats. I love to quilt if I am not spending time with my grandchildren. My daughter and her four children live in California and I see them once a year. I miss them very much. I work full time to support myself.
One year ago I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. For the first 5 months I had chemotherapy in my hometown and could continue to work. In February of this year I developed a cancerous tumor in my back. I went to Rochester for my cancer treatments for 6 months. During that time and for 2 additional months I was not able to work. I went back to work at the end of September but during that I fell behind on my rent. I need Modest Needs help with my car payment.
This funding will help me keep my bills caught up and help me with the stress that I am suffering from. As I look at my finances, I am overwhelmed at what and who I owe. Assistance with some of these finances will relieve some of the pressure and stress in my life. I appreciate all of the help you can provide for me. Thank you very much.
